Exposition de Laurent Faulon et Delphine Reist

Delphine Reist et Laurent Faulon s’emparent de la Villa Bernasconi et lui redonnent son caractère domestique à travers une exposition immersive dont le titre fait référence à la maison. En les meublant avec des oeuvres-objets de la cave au grenier, les artistes restituent aux différentes pièces de la villa leur fonction initiale en y insufflant une atmosphère d’étrangeté. Mouvements automatisés, accumulations, jeux d’échelles, présences hostiles contribuent à provoquer une sensation grandissante d’inconfort.
Laurent Faulon transforme la maison, lieu protecteur, en un endroit ambigu qui suscite le malaise voire l’insécurité. Delphine Reist questionne le monde absurde du travail domestique répétitif et dépourvu de sens. Leurs deux univers artistiques, marqués par la radicalité de leurs langages, dialoguent autour des thématiques privées, sociales et politiques, créant un environnement aliénant.

Invited to exhibit their work at the Villa Bernasconi, the duo Marta Margnetti and Shirin Yousefi work around feminine narratives to explore the journeys, relationships and heritage of the private sphere and social and political events often focussed on forms of resistance.
Using ancient artisanal techniques, Marta Margnetti recalls her family history and her relationship with the body and the home environment. The works of Shirin Yousefi go through a process of dematerialisation until they take on a volatile, even ghostly, existence which is etched into the location. Objects, textiles, videos and sound hold a dialogue between the tangible and the insubstantial.
Duetto à mi voix recalls murmurs and whispers that, despite their muted sound and their fragmentation, achieve unity in a strong and unique voice.
