About Villa Bernasconi
The Villa Bernasconi is a cultural center located in Geneva, in the Grand-Lancy area. Exhibitions, performances or lectures of contemporary authors are organized all year long. The Villa is located in the middle of a public park and every year in May “Mai au Parc” a festival of visual arts and music is organized.
The mansion was built in 1828 and inhabited in 1831 by Soret family. It is located in the heart of a beautiful park near a river called Aire. Its architecture of neoclassical influence is that of many domains in the outskirts of Geneva. It was home of the Bernasconi family and kept the Bernasconi name. In the 1990s it became the property of the City of Lancy.
